Can I run with my dog?

Accepted Answer

Dogs are welcome—please keep them on a short lead at all times and be mindful of the weather to ensure their comfort and safety. Run with your dog at your own risk.

Where do collect my bib number?

All bib numbers must be collected on the day of the race at registration.

Question 3

How long are the Half Marathon and 10K distances?

Accepted Answer

The Half Marathon is 13.1 miles (21.1 km). The 10K is nominally 10 kilometres, though due to course adjustments for safety, marshal access, or route logistics, your 10K route may be slightly over (e.g. about 12.77 km in some cases for 2025).

What ages are allowed to enter?

Accepted Answer

A: Participants must be aged 16 or over for the Half Marathon. For the 10K, the minimum age is 13 on race day. Anyone under age will need consent from a parent or guardian.

Question 5

What is the cut-off time?

Accepted Answer

A: The Half Marathon has a cut-off time of 3½ hours. That is, all participants must finish within that time. If you fall behind or reach certain time‐checkpoints late, you may be asked to retire or you may be unable to continue with full support.

Question 6

Q: Will there be medical support / first aid?

Accepted Answer

A: Yes. There will be medical personnel on course, at aid stations and at the finish area. However, you should make sure you have any personal medical supplies you might need. Participation is at your own risk, and you’re responsible for your own health insurance.

Q: What gear do I need / what should I bring?

Accepted Answer

A: A few essentials: your race number/timing chip, suitable running shoes, moisture-wicking running clothes, sun protection (hat, sunscreen) or waterproof gear depending on weather, some form of hydration (if you prefer), and anything you normally use for long runs (gels, energy etc.). Also bring warm dry clothes for after the race.

Q: Can I transfer my entry or defer to another race?

Accepted Answer

A: Under our policy, entries are non-transferable to another person. We do not permit deferrals except in exceptional circumstances, and only if permitted by official policy published at registration. Check our Terms & Conditions for full rules. Changing distances is allowed.

Q: Are refunds available?

Accepted Answer

A: No. Entry fees are non-refundable unless you paid for third-party insurance offered at checkout. If you opted into that insurance, refund requests are handled according to that insurance provider’s rules.

Q: What happens if the event is cancelled or delayed?

Accepted Answer

A: If the event is cancelled (for reasons beyond our control) or significantly altered (route, date, start time), we will notify all participants. Depending on the situation, we may offer a refund (if insured), or offer the option to defer entry to a future edition. The Terms & Conditions govern how we manage cancellations/changes.

Q: Will I get a finisher’s medal / prize?

Accepted Answer

A: Yes, all finishers for both the Half Marathon and 10K will receive a finisher’s medal. Category-prizes are awarded to top finishers (male, female, age categories) as outlined in the event details.

Q: How will timing & results be managed?

Accepted Answer

A: We use chip timing to record your start and finish times. Finalised results will be published after verification.

Question 13

Q: Can I run/walk/have someone support me?

Accepted Answer

A: Yes — walking is permitted, provided you finish within the cut-off time. Having supporter / pacing arrangements is allowed (depending on course rules). Please respect other runners, marshals and follow instructions from officials.

Q: Where can I view the full route / see what terrain / surfaces to expect?

What do I need to bring on race day?

Please bring:

Your race confirmation email (for bib number collection)
Suitable running kit for autumn conditions
Your own hydration and nutrition
A positive attitude and plenty of energy!

What safety support will be available?

Accepted Answer

A full, qualified First Aid team will be on hand throughout the event.
Marshals will be positioned around the course to guide runners and help ensure safety.

Will there be aid stations?

Accepted Answer

Aid stations are provided along the Half Marathon course only
There are no aid stations on the 10k course

Participants should carry their own hydration and nutrition as needed.

What is the course like?

Half Marathon: Mixed terrain course (approx. 84% road) with around 229m elevation gain
10k: Flatter, faster route designed for speed

Both courses are fully signed, with marshals positioned at key locations.

Will there be toilets available?

Yes.

Toilets will be available at the race village on the High Street
Additional portaloos are located in the George Yard Medium Stay Car Park

Where can I park?

Accepted Answer

Parking in Andover Town is free on Sundays (subject to council T&Cs).

Recommended car parks:

Chantry Centre
Black Swan Yard
Town Mills

Please allow extra time to park and walk to the High Street.

Where is registration and the race village?

Accepted Answer

Registration, toilets, and vendor stalls will be located on Andover High Street, which will also act as the race village.
Friends and family are welcome to attend and support runners.
